Hi everyone! I know I haven't blogged in the past couple of weeks but I took a much needed vacation with my family to Texas, and since we were gone I wasn't able to give you the great news: I'm preggers!
I'm due in April of next year and we are super excited! I think I am more excited than I was the first time since it is the second time around and I am not as scared as I was the first time. This time I know what to expect and we have a house instead of an apartment to bring baby home to. Also, my little Sunshine is not so little anymore, he's 6 and so excited for the baby to get here. I know he's going to make the sweetest, kindest, and best big brother. He already told me that when the baby cries he will hurry and run to make the baby a bottle. So cute!
I know many of you may ask and so I'll go ahead and answer: we ARE going to find out the sex of the baby. Of course it would be wonderful if we have a little girl since I am currently outnumbered by all the boys, but I am also used to boys and whatever God blesses us with would make us happy. It will be a product of the love that we have and a blessing. We are just so happy that we are able to have another baby when there are so many women who can't.
Also, I'm excited to make some maternity clothes, something I've never made before, but just like my last pregnancy, most of the clothes will be clothes that I can wear during my pregnancy and after. Last time I was pregnant I didn't buy any maternity clothes except for a pair of jeans and 1 pair of shorts, besides that I just bought shirts & dresses that had stretch and that worked just fine.
So far I feel great, I haven't had any morning sickness and I haven't really had nausea. I did have bit of nausea when I walked into very smelly houses or bathrooms because as soon as I became pregnant I turned into a bloodhound. All smells are magnified and I can even smell things that my husband and son can't smell. I am also not having any yearnings for fast food. Makes me queasy thinking about McDonald's, Burger King, and Jack in the Box. So far I am craving fruit like crazy, especially grapes and watermelon, and ceasar salad with ceasar dressing. I have to have them every day. I have been drinking tons of water and also orange juice. With my first baby I craved Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino's with extra caramel every day. Now? I don't even want coffee. Also, I didn't exercise at all with my first baby. I didn't even know I could, so of course I will keep up my running as much as I can and my weight training this time around. I don't want to gain excess weight. Last time I gained 55 lbs, this time I hope to keep it at a healthy 25-30 lbs.
So there you go ladies & gents! Our family is expanding and we are so excited. I am so excited! I can't wait to get my baby bump and feel the baby move. Hubby is so excited, he kisses my belly and talks to it. I am so excited for him to feel the baby move.
Anyways, I hope ya'll have had a wonderful couple of weeks, I'll be back soon posting my outfits of the day! Especially since school starts Monday and I have to get all dolled up whether I want to or not! lol.
I leave you with just a few pictures from our trip:)
