Spring Skirt... Again

Hey guys, so here is my OOTD with the same drape skirt I wore on my last OOTD. I love the skirt because it's so diverse. I can wear it dressed up or down. Anyways, here is how I wore it this time:)

By the way, I went to an important meeting today with my advisor. She set up a meeting w/the fashion director of our University, and she asked me to bring in clothes that I've been working on so she could see what classes I needed to be placed in next year. She loved all my clothes and the workmanship that she decided to put me in the advance fashion/sewing construction classes. I was able to skip a few classes! Yay! I'm hoping to go on their trip to the Fashion Trip to Paris next year. This year they are going to Italy, but since I'm taking French, I'd love to go to Paris:) Now to save money for it:)
Btw: Here is what I'm working on currently:

Polka Dot Drape Skirt

Hi guys, how was everyone's Easter? We had a great time spending it with family. What a wonderful day to remember what the Lord has done for us.
Anyways, my days are usually full of shorts, tees, and sweatpants because I'm only taking online classes and my on-campus classes start in May. So when I get to dress up I get excited:) Especially when I get to dress up with one of my own creations. I made this skirt yesterday out of a polka-dot fabric I got from Joann's on sale:) Because I didn't want it to be too dressy, I added a pair of zebra print flats.
Here is my illustration and the fabric swatch:)

Sorry about the lighting, it was dark outside and the only place to take pictures was inside my yellow lighted house! lol. Hope you love the skirt! If you want one, let me know:)

From Frumpy to Spring Cuteness!

I bought this granny, frumpy dress at the thrift store for only a quarter. I knew that it had a lot of fabric so I could totally use it to either make a dress or a skirt. I decided to turn it into this spring dress. I used a pattern that I had from a while ago. I hope you guys like how it turned out:) It's a little short so I make sure to put on shorts under because I went to the store and it was windy so it kept wanting to fly up. (I am now wearing shorts under, just in case. lol)
So when you go to the thrift shop don't just look at the clothes, look at the fabric. Ask yourself, "Can I use this fabric and make it into something cute?" Usually you can if it's a bigger size bc there will be a lot of extra fabric.

Here is the After:

So, what do ya think?

Lace Classic

Hey everyone, it is the end of the day and I am exhausted. I just got home from coaching my son's soccer team. We have our first game on Thursday and I'm nervous since I've never coached before, but I'm really excited about it. Wish me luck! Anyways, I wore this black lace dress yesterday and I love this dress so much! It's sexy but it's not showing a lot of skin. It's body hugging and it's got a very silky lining inside that makes it look like it's my skin. I paired it with my Gianni Bini bag and my Unlisted wedges. I hope you love it. By the way, I've lost 10 lbs already in the last month by eating lots of veggies, cutting out carbs and sugars. I'm hoping to tone up for Summer. I usually gain a good 10 lbs during the winter bc I don't run outside and so I usually just weight train and run only sometimes. I've been running a few times a week now and have been eating well and the results are showing every day:) I hope everyone is motivated and getting healthier for Summer!
